Urban sprawl is bad; intellectual sprawl is good

A thanks

It is not often that teachers get a kind note from a student, and so I am just making record of that here. From a senior who completed Honors Social-Cognitive Psychology:

Dear Mr. Castro,
Thanks so much for a wonderful semester. I’m beyond impressed with your knowledge in psychology because it seems as though there’s infinite information. To be completely honest, I’ve always been an A student, and I’d be satisfied if I walked out of your class with anything above a C because it was so challenging. At the beginning of the semester, I started getting behind and I got to a point where there was simply no hope to catch up because there was so much information to know. I was happy just to learn something. Anyways…. I really appreciate your enthusiasm throughout each class of the semester. It’s obvious that you know what you’re talking about and you love what you do. It means so much to students, even if they seem bored or uninterested in class. I wanted to thank you for your effort and time into making this semester’s psych class great. Happy holidays.
