As part of our firm believe in iterative improvements to the classes we teach, my psychology colleague and I do regular surveys of the students we teach. For the first time, our survey this Quarter included a question about interteaching, which students had experienced twice (first and second).

If I’m honest, I wish the histogram showed greater right skew, but I’m also quite happy with the results.
In terms of the free-form responses, no student specifically mentioned the interteaching lessons. There were a few comments about “less busywork please” that I interpreted as referring to step 2 of the interteaching process (students individually answering questions prior to class that they would also be answering again as part of a triad). As the opportunity presents itself, I’ll try to ask students about the “busywork” comments.
