Urban sprawl is bad; intellectual sprawl is good

During the writing of this book, my high school psychology teacher died of cardiac arrest. Dr. Stephen Phelps wasn’t just my a teacher I had for a semester in high school, when I returned as a staff member to the school, he was the one who gave me the chance to teach AP Psychology, and he continued to teach and mentor me for years. He pushed me to grad school, and he pushed me to begin writing for and presenting to a wider audience across Secondary Ed. I am the teacher, the learner, and in some respects the man that I am today because of Steve Phelps. This book is offered in his memory.

Readers will have no idea who this man Steve Phelps was, or why he is important to so many people, but maybe they’ll start to see what one must do to be considered important.</p>
