From The Verge’s reporting on Twitter’s earning report:
the company’s haul of $595 million was less than the $607.8 million that analysts expected, and so is the $590 million to $610 million it expects to make in the current quarter.
I sometimes forget that Twitter is a company and not a protocol, like email. I use it like a network protocol by using a 3rd party app to access it1 just as I use 3rd parties to access email2. I wonder if there is a pathway for Twitter to transition from a company to a protocol… but since leaving my role as Educational Technologist those are things I don’t have to spend time and energy on anymore.
