One of the homework assignments that has changed in AP Psych over the years is “Draw a Neuron.” It began as a simple drawing & coloring activity on simple 8.5x11 paper, with students having to label the various parts of a motor neuron; but it has now morphed into a screencast wherein students draw and narrate the parts of a neuron and the action potential process, using their iPads and the Explain Everything app.
Receiving the following tweet from a former student who is now in medical school has me rethinking the original, simple drawing activity:
