The results from this year’s AP Psychology exam are available.

I am more pleased with the results from this year than last year. The average then was 3.750 compared to 3.917 this year, despite having four students last year who did not earn “college recommmending” scores and six this year.
We did not change much in the way of curriculum from last year to this year, and so (aside from different students), the primary difference was using Canvas. How can a learning management system (LMS) be credited with an increase in scores on the AP test? I think our reassessment strategy was the key. Students were able to retake not only every open-note reading quiz but also every chapter test. The Testing Effect alone could very easily account for the 0.167 mean increase.
There is one data set missing from this analysis though, the “Instructional Planning Report,” which hasn’t been released by the College Board yet. Perhaps there’s something in there that will further this analysis.
