Urban sprawl is bad; intellectual sprawl is good

On Saturday, February 14, SI hosted the (first annual?) “Catholic EdCamp SF,” which I helped organize. Breakfast and lunch was donated by ChoiceLunch, and swag was provided for a raffle by Pad Armour and EduScapes. About two-dozen teachers attended; one from Nebraska and one from Folsom. We had great conversations around topics such as social media and learning, standards-based grading, and Common Core implementation — and all of the conversations were rooted in our mission as Catholic schools. I’m glad to have helped organize this, and look forward to doing so next year, even when I’m no longer an “Educational Technologist.”
