Urban sprawl is bad; intellectual sprawl is good

The first day of school, Room 314, 2014–2015 academic year.

For the past three years, we have begun the AP Psych year the same way we end it: in dialogue and in presentation. Students interview each other, and introduce each other to the larger class. I then introduce the overview of the class, and let students ask clarifying questions about various policies and procedures.

It’s a good, interactive way to begin the year.
