Urban sprawl is bad; intellectual sprawl is good

I am no athlete

I did not start running until I was 30; and I’m nowhere even close to Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000-hours. Further, I have what Howard Gardner would describe as very low kinesthetic intelligence. These two factors combine, meaning I have neither experience nor natural ability in running. Consequently, I hurt myself… often.

For the record, I have acute Achilles tendonitis; that is, I have small tears in the left achilles tendon at the Calcaneus. I’m not supposed to run for six-weeks. I’m one-week into the recovery, and it’s annoying.
